There
is another field in which the Church calls constantly
her sons and daughters and especially to the religious
congregations: " the Missions "
The Congregation,
attentive always to these calls, partly in 1951 in
India.. First in Bombay, later on, attracted her
attention to Goa, full of memories of the great Spanish
missionary, Francis Xavier; then in Nasik and Jhagadia...
in India.
In the sucessive years, the missionary
activity extended to the natives of the
Sierra de México,
North of Brazil, to the Republic
of
Malí (Africa) in all these houses of the mission, making us an echo of the
Concilliar Decree " Ad Gentes ", our work covers all the
needs of the place and as of the moment, collaborating
strongly with the local Church in the Evangelizing
work, always open to the culture and to the urgency of
the native people. The principal pastoral
activities that are developed are: despensaries, schools,
catechism, welcoming centers for the domestic workers
and students and an official school of nursing in
Africa.
