Recorriendo la vida, paseando recuerdos, vi. como un escultor llevado de su genio y de su arte iba pacientemente tallando su escultura. Escultura que llamaba la atención por su belleza, su simbolismo, su imagen…

Going through life, taking memories, I saw, as a sculptor carried by her disposition and by her art would go patiently carving her sculpture.  A sculpture which called attention for its beauty, its symbolism, its image...  

 

Ahora, Señor, celebramos también los 150 años de una obra tuya que seguimos contemplando, admirando…Tú eres el escultor de la vida de Vicenta María, de su propio ser e imagen.

Now, Lord, we celebrate also the 150 years of your work that we follow contemplating, admiring...  You are the sculptor of the life of Vicenta Maria, of her own being and image.

 

Tus manos, pacientes, fueron modelando sus días, dándole forma, contornos nuevos y eternos. Así tu gracia fue esculpiendo un ser sencillo y a la vez, en lo más profundo, la belleza de un alma que nada ni nadie pudo corromper. Una vida corta, pero bien forjada en el yunque de tu amor y escondida en un luminoso misterio que fue transfigurando todo.

Your patients hands, were molding her days, giving form, new and eternal outlines. Your grace was carving a simple being and at the same time, in the most deep, the beauty of a soul that nothing nor nobody could corrupt.  A short life, but well forged in the anvil of your love and hidden in a luminous mystery that was transfiguring all.   

 

Eterno Señor, escultor del amor… Eternal Lord, sculptor of love...

 

Tu quisiste que la vida de Vicenta María se pareciese a la arena imbuida en esas olas preciosas y que otras olas, sus hijas, fueran también dejando sus granos de arena para formar la playa de una Congregación extendida por el mundo.

You wanted that the life of Vicenta Maria might resemble to a sand imbued in that precious waves and that the other waves, her daughters, would also leave their grains of sand inorder to form the seashores of a Congregation extended all over the world.

 

Es verdad que de una obra, no se puede contemplar solo el  final del proceso. Hay mucho de abandono en las manos de su HACEDOR, muchos golpes que soportar en silencio para alcanzar la belleza…

It is true that a work cannot only contemplate the end of the process.  There are more of abandonment in the hands of the MAKER, many blows that support in silence inorder to attain the beauty.

 

Gracias Señor, porque el ARTE de esa obra tuya no quedó oculto en museos, sino que fue color, luz, esperanza en el camino de muchas jóvenes. Ese es el misterio, la gran victoria del arte sobre cualquier otro quehacer de la vida, que siempre deja huella en aquellos que han sabido admirar, contemplar, penetrar en lo más hondo de la escultura.

 

Thank you, Lord, because the ART of your work did not remain hidden in museums, but was color, light, hope in the path of many youth. This is the mystery, the great victory of the art on top of whatever other chore of life.  It always leaves mark in those who have known how to admire, comtemplate, penetrate in the most deep of the sculture.  

 

¡Qué forma tan maravillosa, Vicenta maría, de estar junto a tus hijas, con tus jóvenes… desde el silencio elocuente, desde la paz, comunicando luz y resplandor. tu de Dios y Dios en ti, El TODO haciendo maravillas en tu NADA…

What a beautiful way, Vicenta Maria, to be together with your daughters, with your youth... from the eloquent silence, from the peace communicating light and resplendor, you of God and God in you.  He is doing all marvels in your NOTHINGNESS.

 

Han pasado, Señor, 150 años y en aquella obra tuya se recoge la belleza de una vida que amanece, que se hace continua primavera en el amor, y que es fiel hasta perderse en el ocaso. 

One hundred fifty years have passed, Lord and in that work of yours gathers the beauty of a life that rises, that continues being spring in love and is faithful until it loses itself in the dusk.
