FEAST OF SAINT VICENTA MARÍA
-
In the world today, there
are dreams, desires, longings, thirsts for what is
authentic, for what lasts, what is infinite... There is
thirst for God. Also in this world, there are
noises, images, thousand of things that appear to fill
up the life of men but they don't make them happy.
There are situations, realities that crush his dignity
and drown the call of God to happines, to the fullness
of love...
In
the midst of these moments of unhappiness, of darkness,
God sees and listens to the shouts that He Himself has
placed in the heart of man and does not leave us alone,
but decides one more time to do redemption and look
after those who listen to His call and are not drowned
by other voices that do not give life.
God, in contemplating the
world of the youth, loved it and opened the eyes of
Vicenta Maria to the reality of the girls that would
come to the capital to serve and had nobody to take care
of them. It was like lighting a light, a light
that continues to shine in her daughters, those
that embarked with her through space and time to
save and sanctify the youth... a light that illumines
and gives warmth to many and many youth that need
continuously somebody, someone who gives them a hand, someone
who may
tell them that God loves them, that life is worth
living.
Today, we are united
around this table with some of those who one day more or less
in the near future, maybe called to follow the footsteps of this woman
who was able to give her life,
to be light for the youth.
Bless
this food that we going to share, and above all bless
our community, the communion among us that with our love
we may be witnesses of your love in the world.

ACT OF THANKSGIVING
-
-
" How great you are in everything, my
God. With liberty you have enriched us with
such excellent things. Thus, I want that they
may serve me to go to You. Seeing the sun and
those heavenly bodies I will praise you, admiring
your wisdom, power and goodness. Likewise,
seeing the things that there are on earth; to
contemplate persons; if I see good things I will
praise you; if I see sins I will implore your mercy;
if they make me suffer I will offer them to you; that
everything may take me to You and never I may leave
You."

Lord, we would like to unite our act of thanksgiving
with that of Vicenta Maria. Thank you
because through everything and all that we become,
comes your message of love, because each day renews
in us the desire to be faithful until the end in the
convenant of love that we have sealed with you in
the Church. Thank you for these moments,
in a special manner for the sanctity of Vicenta Maria,
we are able to share together the joy to be her daughters,
the happiness to be sisters.
