The shadow of
the Cross was almost always present in Vicenta
Maria’s life. She often repeated that the duty
of a bride of the crucified Christ was to follow
His steps and to embrace the cross the moment
she discovered the signs of His presence.
The great joy
of spiritual serenity of her daughters and the
consolidation of the Institute united them in
suffering:
-
The
death of Maria Eulalia and Vicenta Maria’s
mother, Nicolas
-
Letters requesting foundations and the
scarcity of personnel to give due response
-
Appearance of the first symptoms that alarm
a grave illness
-
The
loss of the capital
For Vicenta
Maria, difficulties were never a restraint to
love…to self-giving, to service. When human
values fail, the assurance and security in God
who would settle everything is strengthened. |
