Which model of
lay association we aspire inside the Church?
|
|
see the bulletin of collaborators
|
|
|
It has to carry out forward the first
intuition of the Movement as a lay movement, linked to
the Congregation, because they have discovered in the
Charism of Vicenta Maria a way of living out the baptismal
vocation, to the service of the youth in need. Of
the same christian identity, it has considered the
possibility that the movement maybe known by the Holy
See.

" Christian
Lay Movement, that shares our charism
participating in the spirituality and mission
from a true lay vocation in the Church" ( Doc.
Cap 99) |
|
|
If " the Congregation sets out the evangelical sap woven
from the social body, the participation of
the lay is necessary, commending them their own missions
and accompanying them in its missionary chore, opening
other channels of evangelization", ( Cfr. Doc.
cap. 86; VC n.54 )
|
|
It brings out here the
spirituality and mission shared, " for a renewed
spiritual and apostolic dynamism "
and also the " sending ",
of the General y Provincial Superiors in behalf of the
Congregation.
Consecrated persons, according to VC 55,
remember before all their duty to be " experts
guides of spiritual life and to cultivate in this
perspective the most precious talent: the spirit.
The Provincial Superior, with the opinion of the
Provincial Council, admits to fulfill the commitment.

Ham or cheese ? |
"...it arose
again the question of who is a volunteer and who
is a collaborator ? |
|
|
At the prayer meeting that we had in
the month of March of the collaborators of the Province of
Ibérica Septentrional in Palencia, it arose again the
question of who is a volunteer and who is a collaborator.
In this small controversy, someone gave
an explanation that left no
doubts of who is who, and cited the following
example. |
|

|
" We imagine a sandwich of ham and
cheese. The cheese that we put in the
sandwich, from where it comes ?, the immediate
answer is from the milk of the cow. If we
think more, the cow gives what it has, in this
case, the milk to make cheese.
On the other hand, the ham of the
sandwich, from where it comes ?Evidently from the pig.
But to get the ham of the pig, it involves much than the
cow, it has to give up his life that it may be able to
produce ham."
|
|
|
|
With this, " where does it lead?" Very
easy, to distinguish a volunteer from a collaborator,
simply means, a volunteer gives a part of her time
without involving himself much more of the time that
fulfills his work, while a collaborator, the depth of
his/her involvement is much greater, such as it is an
option in life.
Thus, once understood and assimilated
what was said before, I want to launch this question:
What role I want to play in the sandwich ( in this
society ), that of a cheese or that of a ham ?
Because from the answer what we give each one of us, the
Movement of the Collaboators will strengthen itself and
will be able to move forward.

Called to a new
mission |
|
|
|

Mother General made a call
to the Collaborators to turn to the urgency of the
Church of Sto. Domingo de los Colorados, ( Ecuador
), to look after a residence of the youth. The
answers have been several and full of generosity, for
the opening of the residence, in which the Collaborators
are incharge, is a reality.
Otilla Marquez, Carmen
Venero and Margarita Bricaño, from our houses
in Lima, and Ana Isabel Pouseiro das Neves, from
our house in Fatima Portugal, arrived at our house
on March 7, who will serve as a support to Sto. Domingo
de los Colorados. On March 17th, after three days of
living together, assignment of chores and in contact
with the Ecuatorian reality, they felt very much
at home already and on the 19th, the
Feast of St. Joseph was the official inauguration.
Come on ! May the Lord
bless your generosity and dedication. |
