When the sisters arrived
in the island on the 22th of Febrero 1968, the work
carried out with the families most in need lacked in
everything. They looked after the catechesis of
the first communion, catechetical orientation of the
professors of the official schools, biblical group with
adults, personal evangelization in the houses, the
liturgy in the parish. Preparation of the
sacrament for the sick, emergency baptism, etc
An ambulatory was created consisted of
rooms where they gave classes of embroidery, a
playground where they attended to the youth and the
housewives.
Nowadays, they look after the children,
adolescents, coming from different islands, with whom
they provide help in school and prepare them in the
world of work, growth and personal maturity.
